So much information exists on the art of Bonsai that it is hard to decide what really is important. Our view is let's look at the sorts of questions we all asked when we started out and also the ones we keep coming back to no matter how experienced we are.

Nothing will substitute a real hands-on lesson with a Bonsai professional, however, what we musn't get caught up in are the pretentious debates that are sometimes carried on amongst some Bonsai "artists". Bonsai is a hobby which shouldn't exclude the inexperienced or the people who wish to learn and therefore it has to be accepted by everyone in the Bonsai community that not all Bonsai enthusiasts know everything! The sooner we are more inclusive to people wishing to enter the community, the more experienced we will all become as we more actively and widely share our knowledge and experiences of what works and what sometimes goes wrong!
